VENISON CHILI

Chili is one of my favourite things to make for meal prep because it’s super easy and the taste gets better and better as the days go on. 

Ingredients:

2 lbs ground venison
1-2 tbsp olive oil
2 chopped bell peppers (we used red and yellow)
1 chopped sweet onion
1 can kidney beans
1 can black beans
1 can petite diced tomatoes (optional)
1 32-ounce jar tomato basil sauce
1 cup of water
Sea salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Cayenne

Instructions:

1. Heat up olive oil in a pot or Dutch oven, add venison, and cook fully.
2. Add peppers & onions and cook for about 5 minutes, or until half done.
3. Add in and mix kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, and water
4. Add in all salt, pepper, and all spices to taste. I normally add in a little bit of each, give it a taste, and add until it’s to my liking.

Let it simmer for as long as you can. The longer you wait, the more flavorful it becomes.

I usually grab some @sietefoods chips and dip em right into the chili—so good!
