FROM CARNIVORE TO CARBS

When G came to me he was doing the carnivore diet but he wanted to work towards a more balanced diet. Aka, more carbs 😉.

Carnivore had worked for him in the past but at this point in his life it just wasn’t sustainable for him anymore and he found himself in the binging cycle.

This is actually very common with fad diets. Especially if you remove a food group that you love.

Sometimes a specific diet may work for you in one chapter of your life but not another, and it’s important to be able to identify that.

His goal was to lean out, but before we could even think about going into a caloric deficit it was important that we worked on improving his relationship with food, balancing his diet, and focusing on the basics, first.

We did this for about 5 months and he progress immensely both mentally and physically.

I’ve taken him from eating 120g of carbs daily up to 225g!

What happened during this time? He stopped binging, he has way more control around food, and he's been able to enjoy the foods he loves without feeling guilty about it.

Tracking macros helped give G freedom with food because it helped him control his nutrition and not the other way around.

Outside of that, he has the basics nailed down.
Protein
Pre-planning/prepping
Food quality
Water
Sleep
Steps
and most importantly, consistency.

These lay the foundation for a successful dieting phase.

And as you can see, he is absolutely crushing it!
